The city is surrounded by magnificent countryside, full of vineyards, orchards, olive groves and small villages. The countryside around Treviso is dotted with lakes, such as <strong>Lake Santa Croce<\/strong>, where it is possible to practice various water activities such as rowing, sailing and fishing. The area is also known for its thermal baths, such as those of <strong>Abano<\/strong> and <strong>Montegrotto<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also numerous hiking trails that criss-cross the hills around the city, offering breathtaking views. It is a <strong>naturalistic area<\/strong> of \u200b\u200babout 100 hectares, which constitutes one of the main green lungs of the Venetian plain. The oasis is <strong>managed by the WWF<\/strong> and was established in 1987 to protect the flora and fauna of this area. It is located near the <strong>Cervara torrent<\/strong>, and its waters are an important source for the local fauna, including the rich <strong>birdlife<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is possible to visit the oasis through <strong>different paths<\/strong> that cross the meadows, wetlands, woods and cultivated fields. <strong>Cycling<\/strong> and <strong>canoeing excursions<\/strong> can also be organised. It winds for about <strong>120 km<\/strong> between the beautiful province of Treviso and the city of Ostiglia, on the embankment of the river Po. Along the way you can admire the natural beauties of the <strong>Sile Valley<\/strong>, the <strong>Livenza Valley<\/strong> and the <strong>Piave Valley<\/strong>. The cycle path is built on one of the sections of the <strong>Via Romea Germanica<\/strong>, a Roman road that crossed Europe from north to south.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cycle path consists of a dirt path with a maximum width of 2.5 meters and a dirt surface. The route is marked by signs, indications and maps to help cyclists find their way around. The park offers a <strong>great variety of natural landscapes<\/strong>, from woods of trees, to the swamp of the river Sile, to the beaches and recreational areas. The park is also the ideal place for various outdoor activities, such as bird watching, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, biking and hiking. The park is also home to <strong>various species of wild animals<\/strong>, such as wild boar, roe deer and heron.
